The Acropolis Telecom European Voice over IP exchange node – the MIXT – is the first of its kind in Europe, placing at the disposal of the companies or the ITSP a technical meeting point exclusively dedicated to telephony over IP that enables them to create Voice and Data Intranets or Extranets.

IN-BAND :

For the Intranet the MIXT makes it possible for company to establish between various sites its own voice and data VPN for telephone calls, free, without replacing the existing telephone equipment, even if the equipment is heterogeneous, without changing either Internet providers nor telephone operator. You do have to install a VoIP bridge, but if the company is already with a new-generation IP telephone switchboard, a simple upgrade to the ENUM technical standard is sufficient to establish communications.

OUT-BAND :

For the extranet the MIXT allows mono- and multi-site companies equipped as described in the preceding paragraph to establish telephone calls in the extranet with their customers and suppliers without any limits, as long as the equipement is adequate. The only expenditure is the subscription, costing only 7 €uros, necessary to create on the MIXT a dedicated IP telephony switching circuit.

BROAD-BAND :

The MIXT also makes it possible for clients to benefit from the tariffs of several telecom operators present on the node such as MCI, T-System (Deutsche Telekom), Primus etc., for their national and international communications with correspondents who are not yet VoIP-equipped.
